Information You Submit
Terms Entered in Search Tools
When you type a name, location, or other detail into a search box, that query is sent to the third-party company that operates the tool. Turner County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider's privacy rules govern its handling of the query.
Messages Sent to Us
If you send an email or use a contact form, we retain the message and related contact details as needed to answer. We do not share a message outside the organization unless law requires disclosure.
Information Collected Automatically
Ordinary technical logs and measurement tools may collect details when a page loads, including:
- Internet Protocol address;
- browser name and version;
- device category and operating system;
- pages viewed and time spent on them;
- the referring website, when supplied; and
- date and time stamps.
Cookie Use
Cookies help measure how visitors use the site and support some site functions. A browser can reject or delete cookies. Blocking them may cause certain features or partner tools to work differently.
Reasons We Use Information
- Operate the site and maintain useful performance;
- send search requests to the selected partner service;
- understand which Turner County record pages visitors use;
- diagnose and correct technical faults; and
- display advertising that may reflect visitor interests.
Websites Outside Our Control
Links may lead to Turner County release records, sheriff pages, Georgia corrections systems, government portals, or independent search tools. Once you leave this site, the destination's privacy policy and data practices apply.
Some advertising partners may measure activity across multiple websites to select ads. That processing occurs within their systems, not ours.
Parties That May Receive Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited information may be handled by:
- search partners that process submitted queries;
- analytics providers that measure site use;
- advertising networks that deliver ads; and
- law enforcement or government authorities acting under a valid legal order.
Georgia public-record requests to government agencies are governed separately by the Georgia Open Records Act, O.C.G.A. 50-18-70 et seq. This privacy notice does not control records kept by Turner County, GDC, or a court.
Security Measures and Limits
We use customary safeguards intended to protect information. No website, network, or internet transmission can be guaranteed secure, however. We cannot promise that a breach or unauthorized access will never occur.
Visitors Under Eighteen
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under eighteen. If a minor submitted information, notify us so a deletion request can be reviewed.
Your Information Choices
- Ask for a copy of personal information we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate information;
- ask that eligible information be deleted; and
- object to or opt out of certain processing where applicable.
Changes to This Notice
We may revise this privacy notice as site practices or legal requirements change. A revised version will be posted here with a new effective date.
